In accordance with Georgia’s new “Distraction-Free Education Act,” students at Lee County Middle School West will not be permitted to use personal electronic devices during the school day. Students will be expected to place cell phones and personal electronic devices in their lockers upon arrival and leave them there until dismissal.
Our goal is to create a learning environment where students are fully engaged in instruction, actively participating in class, and building positive relationships with peers and teachers without the distractions that personal devices can often create.
Students who fail to follow these expectations will be subject to school disciplinary consequences in accordance with the Lee County Code of Conduct and school procedures.
