Fall Sports

Football

Open for 8th grade students. Tryouts begin in August and the season lasts through October. Daily after-school practices are required. Games are usually held on Wednesdays at 5:30. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate.

Football/Competition Cheerleading*

Open for 6th – 8th grade students. Twenty-four students will be selected during tryouts in February. The entire team will cheer for middle school football and the top sixteen cheerleaders will represent Lee County for competition cheerleading. Cheerleaders will attend camp during the summer and will have after-school practices. The team’s season ends in December. Competition cheerleaders are required to perform high level skills that include tumbling, stunting, and jumping. Football cheerleaders will be required to have skilled jumps, sharp motions and good voice projection. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate.

Girls Softball

Open to 6th- 8th grade girls. Tryouts are in August and the season lasts through September. Daily after-school practices are required. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate.

Cross Country*

Open to 6th-8th grade students. Tryouts begin in August and the season lasts through October. Daily after-school practices are required. Most meets are held on Saturdays. Students must have an up-to-date physical and medical release form on file and must be academically eligible to participate.

Girls Volleyball

Open to all 6th-8th grade students. Tryouts begin in May. Practices begin June 1 (daily summer practices), and the season concludes at the end of September or beginning of October. The season includes daily after-school practices, weekends, and tournaments during holidays. It is recommended to try out for the Lee County Club 229 travel ball team for more practice.
